Our church leadership holds Reformed Evangelical Baptist convictions.

These include;

• Upholding the supremacy and sufficiency of the whole Bible as God’s given Word, and rightly interpreting it as centred on the magnifying of His holiness, glory and grace, and seeking to expound its truth according to its fulfilment in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

It is by this Word that we are made wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus, and by His word we are taught, rebuked and corrected and trained in righteousness to produce good works pleasing to God (see Isaiah 6:1-13; Romans 11:33-36; 2 Timothy 3:14-4:5; Hebrews 1:1-4; Revelation 4:1-5:14).

• Proclaiming God’s eternal purpose of salvation, which is to have a people for Himself by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, to the glory of God alone (see John 17:1-5; Romans 8:28-30; Ephesians 1:3-14; 2:1-10).

• Relying on God’s Gospel as His power for salvation to all who believe, for it is only because of the perfect righteousness of the Lord Jesus Christ in living, dying and rising again as our all-sufficient representative substitute, that sinners are justified, sanctified and glorified (see Romans 1:16-17; 3:21-5:21; 8:1-39).

It is only upon the foundation finally and fully established in Christ that God’s true church is built into the maturity and likeness of Him who is our loving, saving and ruling head. This foundation effectively bears good fruit by the Holy Spirit for God’s eternal new creation purpose (See Ephesians 2:1-5:33; Colossians 1:1-3:25).

We commend the 1689 Baptist London Confession of Faith as a good summary of historic, sound Baptist convictions, while continuing to uphold the whole Bible as the word of God by which we must discern, define, and reform our understanding, believing, and practise as Christians.
